Jugo Ürdens is considered one of the most promising newcomers of the German-speaking Hip Hop scene. Born in Skopje, his father comes from Macedonia, his mother from Serbia. The now 23 year old came to Vienna at the age of seven, where he grew up in the 16th district.
In 2016 he released his first EP "Ajde", which he produced fully independent. With "Diesdas" the first single of the eponymous EP appeared, which was released on May 30th. In his song "Österreicher" he gives a theatrical view of what it means to live as a foreigner in Austria. He outlines that with very tough rhymes. Exaggerates a lot. He lovingly calls his favorite drink "Black Gold" and even dedicated a whole song to it. In addition to his own music, he also makes beats as a producer, for his futuresfuture colleague SLAV.
His ironic handling of political topics and hip-hop clichés (sometimes he kisses his rapper colleagues instead of women in his videos and sings about sugar-rich soft drinks instead of drugs) brought him attention well beyond Austria's borders. In the meantime, not only local, very contrasting media, such as "FM4" or "Heute" deal with the young Viennese, Swiss and German media have also come to the liking of the handsome Viennese.
Jugo Ürdens was already able to shine with his live performances at Austrian festivals such as the "Donauinselfest", the "Waves Festival" in Vienna or the FM4 Frequency Festival.
